The Philately of Third Reich Germany 1933-1945, written by collector and historian, Robert W. Jones, is a detailed catalogue of each stamp issued during the time and a complete reference to the political and historical matters that influenced the creation of the philately of the Third Reich.
The volume, published by MAR Publishing, builds upon the 1966 book by Alf Harper and W. Scheck entitled The Stamps of Germany Third Reich. Enhanced with research conducted through the Germany and Colonies Philatelic Society and the Third Reich Study Group, both in Great Britain, The Philately of Third Reich Germany 1933-1945, expands, updates and corrects the Harper work including full-color illustrations throughout of all the stamps, miniature sheets and booklets, plus special postcards and postmarks used on the stamp issues.
Throughout the book, political and historical matters are described to further understand the everyday climate in Germany and Europe at that time, setting the publication apart from any other Third Reich Philately reference and providing a unique glimpse into World War II Germany.
